What to expect
Sessions can be face-to-face in my rooms or via Telehealth.
Step one:
Contact me via the contact me form on the website. Sharing an email and phone number will help me arrange a suitable time to call you.
Step two:
15 minute phonecall.
Once you have taken the brave step of reaching out, I will contact you for an initial chat to check I can support you with your current issue and to give you a chance to check you feel comfortable working with me. We can discuss the services I offer and fees. There is no charge for this initial 15 minute phonecall. If we are both happy to go ahead we can then book in your first session.
Step three:
Our first session.
Prior to our first session I will email confirming date and time, and if face to face, address of my rooms or if via Telehealth, the link. Our first session will involve understanding in more detail what is concerning you and what you hope to achieve from therapy. We will explore what to expect from therapy and how the journey may unfold. There will be a little bit of admin in the first session. The session will last 50 minutes.
Step four:
Ongoing therapy.
From session two onwards we work together on your issues and over time deepen our understanding of what is happening in your world, and with that understanding, a sense of how things could change.
Step five:
Ending.
When you feel ready to finish or decide you want to pause therapy, we will have a final session to talk about what to expect in the upcoming months and how to prepare for that. We will also reflect on the progress made on your therapeutic journey.
Important information:
Each session lasts 50 minutes.
Sessions can be carried out face to face in my rooms in Cheltenham, Victoria or via telehealth.
At this point I am unable to accept Mental Health Treatment Plans (MHTP) but my fees are typically lower in order to accommodate that.
